Products and the demos that show ‘em off.
Sunday, April 23rd, 2006A lot of companies are developing cutting edge technologies out there. Some are so cool that it’s hard to “get” just how cool they are without an explanation or two of what it is that it actually does. For example, our friends over at Airwave build tools for admins of large networks that allow them to manage the networks and the users remotely with an amazing degree of control. Even if the actual user is across the country or on the other side of the world.
What they asked Tatu to do was to help build a visual demonstration of their tools, create a way that visitors could explore the pages of interest, and also make the demo easy for them to update as the product evolves and new enhancements created.
We used Flash to dynamically load images, allow users to zoom in and even drag the page around to see all there is to see on each screen. All this yet the site can be updated quickly and efficiently with only the basic image tools and Dreamweaver or an ftp client.
Product demos are becoming a larger part of our business of late. We’re working on a series of Tutorials to aid our clients who use Macromedia’s Contribute to update and maintain their websites, and there are two more demos for clients ranging from e-learning tools to mobile device client management systems.
Need a demo? E-mail me now for a bid on a demo that suits your needs. We can add audio, video, 3-D and interactivity to the mix. Whatever you need, we have the tools to get it done and make it look good.
